How I Became an Astrologer
When I was about to get married for the first time, a friend gave me an engagement gift of a reading with a famous astrologer for me and my fiancé.
When I got to the astrologer’s house for my reading, I could see she was a tough old bird, and hardly the ethereal mystic I was anticipating. She reared back in her chair and said, “Honey. Not only should you not marry this guy, you should shoot him so nobody else does!” She also said he’d be married 6 or 7 times and that I’d be divorced in 2 years, and gave me a litany of reasons all that would happen.
I was so ticked off with her cavalier dismissal of my great love, that I never even let her finish the reading. More fool, I!
So, two years later, when all she’d said had proven true (it did take a while longer than that for all those marriages to take place!) I returned, apologized, and asked if I could study astrology with her. Many teachers and much learning later, I began writing about Astrology for magazines like Cosmo, Mademoiselle, Mode, Grace and Sweet 16.
My Astrology will soon be available online. There’s quite a lot I’d like to share with you. Whether you’re a believer, a dabbler, a full-fledged skeptic or a little of all these things, I hope you’ll star-gaze with me in the Mysterious Library.
Much more Astrology will be coming to the Mysterious Library soon. This is just the beginning…
